P40,000,000 additional budget to fill the shortfall in the funds in Naic, Cavite.

The Naic local government will distribute an additional P40,000,000 budget to fill the shortfall in the funds allocated by the national government with the aid of their town, Naic Mayor Junio Dualan shared on April 8, 2021, Thursday.

He started explaining that the assistance provided by the government to their town is in fact insufficient for all households.

"Ang naging basehan po dito ay 2010 census which is 11 years ago.

There is no additional financial assistance provided by the national government through the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), he said. So they called for a meeting with the local chief executive together with the members of the municipal council and decided that their Local Government Unit (LGU) will fill the missing budget.

He added that they agreed that the distribution will be Php 1,000.00 to a MAXIMUM of Php 4,000.00 per Household depending on how many people live there. He also said that the distribution schedule is on a first come first serve basis which means that the barangay who is able to be the first to submit will be scheduled first for the distribution after the validation of the list of beneficiaries they submitted.

Based on the Department of the Interior and Local Government directive, local government units are obliged to finish the distribution of the financial assistance 15 days after the actual receipt of the funds.
