“HE WHO GIVES THE MOST, REAPS THE MOST”.

John Carlo "JC" Villanueva of the City of Dasmarinas and Lusiana "Nanay Lusing" Nibyan of Trece Martirez demonstrates that, even in these trying times, there are "good hearts" who will extend their hands to help.

A modest Facebook post online gathered thousands of reactions and turned into an instant viral story circulating the social media. JC the owner and chef in his restaurant business decided to sell a different kind of plant online due to the strict guidelines for dine-in and catering services in implementing the lockdown.

The monthly income he collected in selling plants online is used to give free food packs for 100 medical health workers in the Pagamutan ng Dasmarinas. He then went to the Public Hospital located in Imus to provide 100 food packs for nurses and doctors. New buyers are showing interest in buying a plant from JC's online shop because they are pleased with what he has done.

Lusiana Nibyan, also known as Nanay Lusing, the woman behind Trece Martirez's best Karinderya, spreads kindness in her neighborhood. For tricycle and jeep drivers, Nanay Lusing provides free ulam at kanin. She is well-known as a compassionate and loving kapitbahay who assists in the distribution of free food.

In return, residents who received help from Nanay Lusing joined the force and helped renovate her Karinderya. Medical allowance is awarded to Nanay Lusing from Mayor Gemma Lubigan as a token of appreciation.

Proud Cavitenos like JC and Nanay Lusing show that they can support their Fellow Caviteno people in any situation. These two viral stories provide opportunities and inspiration for all of us to be grateful for what we have now and to support others in whatever way we can.
