Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, live on his Facebook page at De La Salle Animo Center on April 16, 2021, Friday, discussed the COVID-19 updates in the province of Cavite for Modified Enhance Community Quarantine (MECQ).

One of the topics that he went over is that College students across Cavite will receive free vaccination. One of the priorities of the local government of Cavite is to administer vaccination to college students to be able to start conducting face-to-face classes in Colleges and Universities.

According to Governor Jonvic Remulla, the vaccination for college students is free and should not be added to their tuition fee because it is from the Cavite Government. All Universities and Colleges around Cavite will receive free vaccinations, whether it is a public or private school.

“Ang aim natin ay ang ating mga college ay magkakaroon na ng face-to-face studies doon sa ating mga universities. Lahat ng CVSU, La Salle, FEU, TUP…lahat na ng mga eskwelahan ay lahat [ma]babakunahan natin ng libre. Hindi po ito charge sa inyo o sa tuition nyo. Ito po ay bigay ng Cavite Government” Remulla stated.

The Philippines is one of the countries that is substantially affected by the pandemic, many employees lost their job and businesses chose to close their shops.

Everyone gets isolated at home, and learners instantly stop going to school. Students and teachers are continuously enduring the difficulty of online classes, especially those who are in college.

That’s why when vaccines came in Cavite, the local government listed college students as one of the priorities to be given a free vaccination. On the other hand, there is no announcement or a specific date when face-to-face classes will start.
